"The first time I first saw Calvin I could not run more than 2 miles without severe pain in my knee. Calvin correctly diagnosed that problem was not the knee but tightness in other joints. He put me on an easy-to-perform stretching and strengthening routine which showed results right away. Six months later I ran a 1/2 marathon pain free. A month after that I did a half ironman pain free!"

"I think on the field rehab helps tremendously. It helps the player get back into the mindset of the game and get used to the field surface. Rather than just jumping back into the game, it helps to work on soccer specific drills to get a players touch, confidence, and fitness back. It is always helpful to have a plan in action so the athlete can return to the field as soon as possible and I think Calvin did a great job of that for me."

ABOUT CALVIN

ABOUT CALVIN

I’m Dr. Calvin Deutsch (but that sounds pretty formal and I’m a friendly guy, so most people just call me Calvin.) I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University in 2003 and returned to Milwaukee to begin my career as a PT. If you came for the fancy stuff, here it is: I am a member of FIFA's Medical Network, 1 of 48 Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialists in Wisconsin, the only Physical Therapist in the state in the U.S. Olympic Committee's Physical Therapy database, a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and the former Marquette University Men's Soccer High Performance and Conditioning Coach.

I enjoy a good outdoor music festival, love skiing, playing (+ coaching) soccer and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

+ MORE IMPORTANTLY

I live in Wauwatosa and am raising three awesome kids alongside my talented wife (who also happens to be a PT...are you sensing a theme here?)

Q: Do you take insurance?

Q: Do you take insurance?

Deutsch Physiotherapy Co is a direct-pay practice. Direct-pay means the patient pays the service provider directly at the time of each visit. This eliminates a 'third party' (insurance company) that the patient can choose to later involve for reimbursement.

Money spent goes directly to treatment provided. There is minimal overhead involved in a streamlined clinic model that is truly centered around the needs of each patient. This includes visits off or near site such as your home, office, field or court...whatever is needed to achieve maximum benefit! Costs per visit are significantly lower than what a typical clinic would charge due to this model. Health Savings Account and Flex Spend Account funds are useable as well as cash, check or credit cards.

"We highly recommend Dr. Calvin Deutsch, especially for soccer athletes. Our daughter struggled to recover from a soccer related injury despite working with two other PT's . As soon as we began working with Calvin, she saw immediate improvement. He spent extra time to accurately diagnose her issue, and designed a personalized, soccer specific, recovery program. Calvin's extensive soccer knowledge and background, coupled with his sports medicine experience, make him an excellent choice for any athlete looking to recover from or prevent injury."

"Calvin has been more than helpful throughout all of my injuries as well as in preventative measures. He is extremely informative when it comes to topics such as muscle interactions with the rest of the body, how and why things have a tendency to occur, and what exercises will hit the target area. Calvin has truly gone the extra mile when it came to helping me heal and in prevention measures. He has worked around my schedule with school and soccer and found time to meet both in the clinic and at a field. His dedication to his work and commitment to me assured me I was receiving the best care in Wisconsin. Anytime I have seen him, I have left feeling better and more informed. Not only is Calvin a master at physical therapy, he is also very personable. He can strike up a conversation with anyone and is always in an upbeat mood. To put it simply, you just won't find a better physical therapist who is more dedicated to his work and to his patients."

"Calvin is an extremely smart and creative person who blends those two qualities together to provide both effective and efficient physical therapy results. As a former Division I soccer player, I turned to Calvin to provide "out-of-the-box" thinking to help me return to the field faster and stronger. He has the unique ability to know how fast to push your rehabilitation to yield quick, but quality results. I would definitely recommend Calvin to anyone seeking an individualized and patient-centered physical therapy experience."

"I am quite picky when choosing physical therapists for my patients. I look at therapists who spend 'hands on' time working with my patients and really teach them what they need to do to get better. Calvin is one of the therapist in the area I do trust with my patients. Excellent results, strong communication, good feedback from patients."
